Why is my entire music catalog 100% donation-based?

This is a conscious choice, not because I don't value my own art, but because I have come to believe that as a culture, we have lost touch with the value of music. It's not your fault, or mine. It's just what happened over the last 25-years.

Napster gave it away for free. iTunes said a song was worth ~99 cents. Spotify said ten dollars a month for everything ever recorded. Somewhere in there, the number stopped meaning much. I have a degree from Berklee in “Professional Music” and over twenty years in this business, and I'll be the first one to admit, I don't know what my music is worth to you — only you can determine that.

Just don't let money be the barrier to enjoying and sharing the music that I'm creating.
